We arrived early for our reservation before 1 and they still sat us. We ordered downstairs and staff brought us our food. They said there was no wait staff but there were runners at least which was great. It was a busy Mother's Day brunch time and our reservation held up great. Yummy smoothies and carne asada benedict. Basic coffee options but I was already caffeinated so it was all good. Will definitely go back again!

Not knowing what to expect, we were greeted with an unfriendly attitude when we were confused on how to order. I was under the impression we would be waited on and serviced at our own table. We made a reservation for 2 o'clock. And there was no table ready. The upstairs dining room was very noisy and chaotic. We had to self serve our drinks self serve our napkins and utensils. We ordered chips and salsa as an appetizer and received them last. Half of our group got their food and almost finished before we got the second half for our table. I had to send back the fries because they were cold as well. Ordering from the counter you also had to provide a tip amount before receiving service so that didn't make sense when I had to self serve everything. It just did not seem very ambient for a nice lunch on Mother's Day. I am hearing that the dinner service is much better, but not sure if I will be returning.

We were drawn... read more I absolutely love this local, relaxed café/restaurant that has a wonderful beachy atmosphere and stunning ocean views along Pacific Coast Highway. We were drawn in on July 5th by the promise of dinner accompanied by a saxophone trio, which promised to create a musical experience that could uplift our spirits with every note. It turns out that The Mark Lessman Trio has a long-standing connection with this family-owned restaurant. I thoroughly enjoyed my grilled salmon salad, while my husband was a big fan of his red curry with jasmine rice. We also appreciated the diverse selection of beverages available, including both alcoholic options and non-alcoholic beers and kombucha. Overall, it was a very satisfying dining experience.
