Hogan's Hideout Grill
Description
Located in Eminence, Missouri, this restaurant showcases a quirky Bonnie and Clyde theme that captivates diners. Patrons frequently rave about the hearty burgers and catfish, often complimenting the generous portions and flavor. However, service consistency poses a significant issue, with reports of long waits and inattentive staff detracting from the overall experience. While some guests enjoy their meals at reasonable prices and commend the inviting atmosphere, others face disappointment due to food errors and slow service. We stayed in town for 3 nights. Each night we had a burger and beers here. It was great each time! Thank you! Meal type: Dinner Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Passing through from out-of-town, we decided this place looked interesting enough. We stopped in at around lunchtime on a Thursday, and there was only one other table sat. Nobody else came in while we were there. The theme of the place was Bonnie Clyde , and they did a good job decorating. The small dining room and even the bathrooms had old and recreated pictures, news clippings, guns, etc all over. The lady working the front really seemed annoyed that we interrupted her phone watching, and we didn 't see a lot of service from her, either. I 'm pretty sure we didn 't get a single refill. She sat 2 tables over on her phone the whole time. After a considerable wait, our food arrived. We both opted for their signature burger, which was good and was a lot of food, but it wasn 't a GREAT burger. Overall, it was ok. I don 't feel like we wasted money, but if I 'm ever in the area again, I probably won 't stop by.
We stopped here while we were passing through on our way to Van Buren. Great hole-in-the-wall restaurant. Those are usually the best. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive. Our food came out hot and she kept our drinks full. I tried the Philly cheesesteak. They were out of swiss so I subbed pepper Jack and I don't think I'll ever go back to swiss. My husband tried a burger and it looked amazing. He definitely enjoyed it. Are curly fries were hot and crispy. I only gave the atmosphere four stars because it could definitely use some music. It was so quiet that I could hear everybody's conversations and the table next to us chewing. Overall we really enjoyed this place and would definitely return.
