Good food! The atmosphere inside is good. However, the atmosphere outside around the corners and down the street is questionable. My father ordered fried Catfish to go. View all feedback.
What Allison Crawford doesn't like about Touch Of Soul:
I ordered from GrubHub and am so disappointed. The chicken has hair and feathers, not seasoned. The Mac n cheese and dressing is not tasty. The green beans look horrible but they were good. The fish and shrimp is so/so. I asked for hot sauce, they sent ketchup. I'll try them again in person, but my first impression is not a good one. View all feedback.
Coming from the south I'd say to give this place a try. The portions are huge. The food is a reminder of home. First was the kool-aid. You should add the sugar until it feels good. They got it right. The corn bread mini muffins my only complaint is I wish I had more. Some honey butter and this would have been a main dish. The prawns are good sized and you get I believe 5 or 6. We got a lot of wings and each piece of chicken was better than the last. You get a good mix of drums and flats. The catfish hit the spot too. We got the Mac which was creamy and did the job well. The greens are really good and I appreciated it not having bacon. The yams I prefer mine a little more firm but I wouldn't say no to having these again. The potato salad was another winner here as well. PS no raisins. My wife enjoyed the rice and gravy all to herself. The peach cobbler I would only have cooked it a bit longer to strengthen the texture but the flavor was all there. I can be pretty critical on southern soul food and I'm glad we found d this place. I've heard plenty of people rave over the place in jack London square and roscoes in LA which were both huge disappointments given how much we paid. I'm glad we found this spot and will be going back again soon. We had purchase the following: 1 2 combo 1 3 combo 2 extra sides 2 peach cobbler 1 kool-aid Came out to about 98 after taxes and tipping but worth every bit of it

Food and staff are both worth the visit!! A weekly favorite for my family. Dine in is very clean and accessible
I was the second person to order got there at 12:03 , not only did I get my food at 12:56 they started serving people, who set in to eat, the same thing I ordered, and served every other person, that came in after, before me, oh by the way, my order was sitting on the counter and the rude Hispanic girl, didn’t know they didn’t have Brussels sprouts , smh
