Rucker Johns - Emerald Isle

Food is just ok, not really that great. I'd come here again only if nothing else was available. The service was fine, our server was polite and timely. The atmosphere was ok, nothing to rave about. The food really needs a revamp though, everything was pretty bland unfortunately.

Food was very good, but overall the restaurant was just ok. Not a lot of creativity with the menu for a restaurant on an island and the place lacked any real character. Service was good and accommodating. There was a lot of chatter about the honey butter croissants. I thought they were very good, doughy, flakey, and just the right amount of honey for my taste and would recommend those.

I have been going here for 20 years. Always a guaranteed nice place to go out to eat. Not too expensive or fancy but makes you atleast feel like you're doing more than a typical fried seafood place. Plus take your family for a walk around the plaza and feed the turtles. Food and staff has always been consistent.

What an enjoyable evening for dinner. Caroline our server was great. First off the croissants are sweet to the taste and savory. Melt in your mouth delicious. My wife had the shrimp skewers side salad and sweet potato fries. I had the ribeye sandwich. The ribeye wa cooked just right. Very tender considering it wasn't shaved meat. Both meals were excellent. I would also recommend the loaded baked potato with bacon, scallions, and cheddar cheese as well as the potato bacon soup. We enjoyed the booth we sat in and we will be back. Tyler H. Ohio

Our waitress was great. The food was yummy and the Cresent rolls were AMAZINGLY GOOD! This restaurant is a must when visiting Emerald Isle.
