The Foundry - Elyria

We found this place on a road between Niagra Falls and Chicago. It was a few miles from the highway, but we gave him a shot and glad we did. The restaurant was very unique and well designed. They had a huge bar and rolling garage doors (there are for lunch, so I suppose they open them sometimes). My wife has the chicken tacos, I have the meat leaf and my son ordered a garlic pasta and an order of fried pimples. Our food was great, but my son did not care about his pasta (which he thought it would be something else). Server asked if everything was good, he mentioned that he didn't really like, but we explained it because he thought he ordered something else. The server said they would take it out of the bill that we said no, we ordered it and will like to pay for it. She took it anyway. If you weren't, you have to check it. Unfortunately, they are too far from Kentucky for us to regular or we would.

The foundry is a local legend in Elyria, so I had to check it. A great friend brought me there. I can see why it has a fabulous reputation. The hostess gave us a warm, friendly greeting and sat immediately. The atmosphere is welcoming. Amber has offered us an excellent, professional service. She took care of us all night. The appetizer of Short Rib Poutine was great, and the portions were considerable. The Carnivore Pizza was excellent! I loved every bite. And the carrot cake Dessert is a must. The foundry has proved absolutely why they are kept so high. If you are near Elyria, eat in the foundry.

We only had a football team dinner here with a party of 30. They had reserved our tables when we were there. We're out of town and don't know the area at all. I couldn't believe how efficient the staff was. The orders were fast and the food was quick. Everything was delicious. The drinks were also really good. They had a special drop drink menu with some delicious options. I loved the atmosphere. I'd definitely go back. Thank you. My husband and friend also got a baconburger and both said, "This could be the best burger I've ever had. ‘

5 stars for the amazing atmosphere, incredible service and the deliciously juicy burger my wife had. 3.5 stars for my pizza. It was better than a chain pizza place but not 3x the cost better. I should have got the bacon Mac and cheese as I know that is a 5 star dish.
