Truly Scrumptious - Ely

Me (vegan) and my mum (gluten free) often visit this lovely place for delicious food. The menu changes on a regular basis and there are always new cakes to try. Very friendly staff also.

My wife and I had been talking about taking the trip to try out this place as we love to support new vegan businesses. We finally got around to doing it this weekend, as it’s around a 45 minute drive for us. On arriving at Lucy’s we were greeted with a sign, just inside the door that asked us to wait to be seated. We waited, and waited, and waited. None of the staff seemed to be bothered that we were standing there and no one came over to greet us, and to inform us what the delay was. Both of the tables downstairs were full, however, a sign suggested there were more tables upstairs? We don’t mind a wait, but felt that the customer service was really lacking. All it would have took was for one of the members of staff to pop over and let us know what was going on? We left without being served. Really disappointed as the menu looked great.

Being a new vegan I was looking for local places to eat and decided to “consult the Cow” as I like to say (that means looking at HappyCow and found this place. I went with a bunch of great new vegan friends. Absolutely loved it! I had the chickpea tikka masala with a cup of tea and it was SO nice. Proof that vegan food isn’t as boring as a lot of people wrongly think . Staff are lovely too. I’ve recommended the place to a vegan friend at work too who hadn’t discovered it. Every vegan in the Cambridgeshire area should give this place a go

I was in the local area and popped in for a spot of lunch and had to sample the cake. What a lovely setting, beautiful building, friendly staff and lovely food. I'll be back again if I'm in the area for more delicious food. Really relaxed atmosphere. Awesome work Lucy at 35.

This has a nice, small careful feel to it as clearly Lucy has a passion for the food. I have eaten here a few times and each time has been delicious. I look for presentation, balance of colours and flavours, freshness of the food and this is very well done. I highly recommend a visit.
