We went there on a weekend while visiting El Huerto del Cura. A local that makes a great Arroz con crosta was doing only takeout so we opted for this, which see... read more We went there on a weekend while visiting El Huerto del Cura. A local that makes a great Arroz con crosta was doing only takeout so we opted for this, which seemed classy and was priced accordingly. Wew decided to go for the menu at a price that should have provided a quite good meal. The starters were white Gambas which proved to be very ordinary, cheap shrimp. Then the pescaditos fritos, which should have been foolproof, but the meat on the little flatfish was mushy(old? and all was pretty flavorless. Next a salad with avocado underripe and and bland and smoked salmon. No dressing except for a very light drizzle of balsamic. I asked for a glass of a local white and ordered a sauvignon blanc from Alicante. when we started eating they said they were out of that and offered me a dry muscatel from Xalon. I know what that is about not a food friendly wine, so I asked what else? A verdejo, which was sort of bitter. I later recognized the label a less than 3 euro supermarket wine. The the piece de rsistance.. The inedible arroz senyoret. Overcooked rice in a pretty thick broth that had an off flavor witrh a bit of sweetness which made it seem they had added ketchup to bolster the flavor since they don 't know or don 't want to make their own broth. We picked a couple of small pieces shrimp and squid out of it and left, and the restaurant hungry. I was offered a piece of fried meat as a substitute but we just wanted to get the h out of there. Don 't be fooled by the white tablecloths. t 's a C restaurant. Avoid

Being a Sunday evening we wasn't aware that the majority of restaurants were closed, having walked around for some time, we were happy to see this place all lit... read more Being a Sunday evening we wasn't aware that the majority of restaurants were closed, having walked around for some time, we were happy to see this place all lit up. We sat outside as it was a lovely evening, the waitress was really friendly and helpful, orders taken. The salad was fresh and tasty as were the steaks we ordered. We all enjoyed our meal and couldn't fault the food, the service nor the price. Would definitely go back.

Sat outside in the plaza, the waitress... read more Found this by accident whilst we were trying to find 2 other restaurants which ended up being closed as it was a Sunday. Sat outside in the plaza, the waitress was speedy and very friendly We had a house salad for starters and it was very nice and followed it up with a steak which was very lean and well cooked and tasted great..
