Went to Altamar 3 nights in a row, couldn’t fault the food or the service but on the third evening we were presented with a bill and had charged 12 euros for a... read more Went to Altamar 3 nights in a row, couldn’t fault the food or the service but on the third evening we were presented with a bill and had charged 12 euros for a handful of fries. We obviously were shocked and asked the waitress why so much and her reply was that her boss told her to charge this extraordinarily high price. BE CAREFUL AND CHECK THE BILL THOROUGHLY AND IF ITS NOT ON THE MENU ASK THE PRICE BEFOREHAND. It left a nasty taste in our months and have seen that others have had similar experiences. We obviously didn’t leave a tip so this went some way to easing the pain of feeling that we’d been ripped off. Thank goodness it wasn’t an expensive piece of fish!
