Great food and great service… I tried the Acontece Octopus and strongly recommend
Good restaurant, attentive staff and tasty food. Be ready they put a plate with bread and other stuff without specifying the price you'll think it's a compliment from the restaurant, but no, it will be on your bill for €5.80 an unpleasant surprise. Helpful service, guys are doing their best. Overall the impression is good.
Went here based on recommendation from hotel São João. Luckily we booked ahead, as it filled very quickly after 7.30pm. Exceptionally friendly staff and very knowledgeable about food and wine. The shared starter of gambás was fabulous. For main we had fillet of beef in pepper sauce and beef on hot stone. The [portion sizes was big and the food was exceptional. The whole meal experience was delightful.
This is one of those wannabes restaurants with high prices, messy and really bad food! I had curry shrimps, the curry was poor there are canned curries that are better! The shrimps were not done dripping a sloppy liquid from the head… even the simple thing of the Portuguese cuisine like plain rice was good… no flavour at all!
Super meal the octopus was one of the best dishes I've had and a nice alternative to some of the more traditional dishes. The service was attentive and overall excellent value for money.
