Contribute FeedbackNestled in a historic building, the restaurant presents an intriguing blend of experiences. Diners frequently note the charming ambiance, stunning views, and friendly staff. However, concerns about maintenance and service consistency often dampen the experience. While some rave about the food, especially the gluten-free options and afternoon tea, others lament overcooked steaks and slow service. The pricing, perceived as high for the quality and portion sizes, adds to the disappointment. Overall, while the venue has potential and can offer delightful meals, it requires attention to detail and service to fully realize its promise.
We had an amazing afternoon tea experience for my husband's birthday. The gluten-free options were some of the best I've had, with delicious cakes and desserts. The service was friendly and relaxed, with no pressure. It was a wonderful afternoon with great views and an excellent price. I highly recommend this place!
We had a wonderful time overall at the restaurant. The staff was fantastic and the food was delicious. The only downside was that the terrace, although offering beautiful views, had garden furniture that needs attention. Most of the chairs were very rickety and didn't feel safe to sit on. Additionally, the service had a slow start as we waited half an hour with only water on the table. Despite these minor issues, I would definitely return to the restaurant, but perhaps I'll bring an Allen key with me next time.
Lovely place. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Food was good. The only thing I would say service was a little slow. We asked for olives and nibbles and never brought to us.
The food was fine, but the service very slow. A group of three with two teas and one coffee, the coffee had to be re-requested a couple of times before it arrived.
What a gem of a venue. Lovely service. Fab food special touches. We all really enjoyed afternoon tea for my birthday. We were very well looked after. Thank You.
