Tempura Japenese Cafe - Elsternwick

I have bought take-away bento boxes from here many times. They are reliable and reasonably consistent, and fairly good value. The food seems healthy to me. The service is quick.I have only eaten in occasionally. The view is of a service station on a major intersection.The shop is in a stretch which contains several take-aways and restaurants.

Awesome little gem of a cafe serving up fresh and tasty Japanese food.

My favourite japanese restaurant in elsternwick and its always use fresh ingredients. My favourite dish is kakuni udon and also the chips are so yummy...

We ordered the pork katsu curry don with rice. The sauce came separately so the pork stayed really crispy. Nothing to complain about and delivery was quick.

#VEGAN FRIENDLY# Tempura Japanese Cafe is right at the end of The main part of Glenhuntly road (opposite Caltex Station). It’s been around for years but this is the first time we’ve tried it. The venue and staff are very welcoming. The menus clearly show what is vegan and there is a good range from every menu area. Bento Box was well priced and had a choice of brown or white rice. It came with a miso soup which had a really nice mushroom flavour. The tempura veggies udon soup was hearty, very flavourful. complimentary green tea. Eftpos available. No surcharge. Meal took 10 mins to be cooked (fresh) and served to our table.
