We had breakfast here in early 2026. Everything was very clean and nicely presented. The buffet was regularly replenished. A truly lovely breakfast in a very pleasant setting.
Regarding Sabrina's post: I was present the entire time and also tried to resolve the issue in person. The owner was in the kitchen and didn't even come out to discuss the situation. After several emails, the only concession offered was a 20% discount on a cabbage tour next year. That was it! When I asked for a breakdown of the costs incurred so far, I received nothing. To give you an example, you don't buy food three weeks in advance. Therefore, withholding 50% of the total costs is, in my opinion, completely unjustifiable. In my experience, this behavior was far from what I would call friendly. Overall, I find the whole situation highly questionable in terms of customer service and business acumen.
Unfortunately, this was very disappointing. We felt they were rude and not very customer-oriented. We had to cancel our event (a traditional cabbage walk) about three weeks before the scheduled date due to a death in the family. The deposit we had already paid was retained. Despite our request, we were not provided with a detailed breakdown of costs or a comprehensible invoice, making the entire process neither transparent nor understandable. We would not book with them again.
Good service, lovely atmosphere, delicious food. No comparison to the previous owner.
Regarding Lisa's post and the Ankerplatz's response, I must say I completely agree with Lisa. I followed the entire situation. Even the couple affected by the aforementioned death didn't receive their deposit back, which I personally find extremely unacceptable – especially in a small town. Solutions were only offered after repeated inquiries. And honestly, after all this drama, who would still want to book a cabbage tour with you for next year – with the prospect of a mere 20% discount? Certainly not me. The suggestion that one could have tried to talk to them also strikes me as laughable. That's precisely what was attempted repeatedly. I repeatedly requested invoices to understand the company's current losses – but these were refused. If a cabbage tour with eight people is supposed to have resulted in such a large loss as the deposit already paid, then in my opinion, there might be something fundamentally wrong with their business model. Personally, I won't be spending any more money there and will avoid this restaurant altogether.
