The starters, which included crusty sushi with Foie gras and salmon, were delicious and recommended. However, the main dish was disappointing due to the poor quality of the meat and overly salty sauce. The sea bass dish was essentially the same as the lamb dish, with just the protein swapped out and some pistachio crumbs added. The presentation was lacking in creativity. The dessert, a lime and coconut sorbet, was acceptable but not outstanding. Overall, I paid around 50 euros for a dining experience that was not worth the price. The food was mediocre and the service was unsatisfactory. It is clear to me why this restaurant always seems to be empty.
Service. I ordered the slowly boiled lambs as the main course. although everyone received a decent piece of meat, the piece served on my dish was pure lamb. everyone on the table agreed that this piece of meat should not be served, so we asked the waiter another piece of meat. the waiter came back and said the piece meat could not be changed. when he insisted and sought the ground why it could not be changed, chef haruki oki replied that there was no lame anymore, but he could make a fish dish. somehow disappointed I agreed to the fish court. to every surprise, lamb dishes were served all night and lamb could be seen in the kitchen (as it is an open kitchen.) the bill was an even bigger surprise, as it seems that the cook euros added a supplement for the fish (although my first choice was lamm and the lamb dish is more expensive than the fish dishes on the menu.) our guessed restaurant never went to this convinced me. as starters, there were two crusty sushis with Fois grass and one with salmon star. this dish was tasteful and recommended. the products used for the main dish were not worthy to be served (see above) and the induced sauce had been boiled too long due to which it tasted too salty. the sea bass (fish bowl) is exactly the same dish as the lamb, except that the lamb is replaced by the fish and some pistachio crumbs are added. the presentation was sloppy and the court lacked creativity. the fish dish is probably one of the sadest dishes I had in the neighboring (and I live and work in this neighboring). it was acceptable, but not exceptional. price and price for money. I pay about eur in my experience this restaurant has a low value for money. the food was moderate and the service unacceptable. In summary, I finally know why this restaurant is in the regular empty.
It is clear that this restaurant is known in bruxelles, and international. We're talking about it. We went there under the advice of friends on the occasion of a birthday. first reassuring contact after turning minutes to put the car. a smiling welcome, an excellent white wine (chardonnay) to the aperitif. the surprise menu is tempting for everyone. We're four years old. Little lover, followed by what everyone is talking, the ring of japon and frank, sushi with foie gras. first interesting impression without slipping to pleasure. surprising. Gimgembre is very fresh. the second dish also belongs to an association that leaves us, we would be perplexed. pure parmesan gratin, Japanese wine sauce and spices, various vegetables from both cultures. the third service turns towards softness with a white chocolate mousse and pistachio combining some summer fruits. it is difficult to find it if you like Japanese cuisine, just as it is difficult to accept amalgam so that it is clear that these two culinary cultures (it is a personal opinion) have more to gain by staying separate. tried, however, more by curiosity!
Zen atmosphere, quality service, fresh food...It frosts perfection.
Extremely disappointing...An original case perhaps but far from being up to those being said starred chefs indicated on their site!
