Gasthaus Zum Löwenstern - Elsbethen

This is a family-run small local neighborhood restaurant, run by the daughter of the founder Frau Kaiser . I made a return visit in April after a 30 year absence and it has not changed one bit. Very local flavor both in terms of food and experience. Primarily local neighborhood restaurant. Outdoor patio seating. Tucked at the foot of the Gaisberg in a residential area. It doesn 't get more local or Austrian than Zum Lowenstern!

If you are looking for a touch of Austria this is the place to go for food and atmosphere. It's small but that's what we were looking for and the food was great. This was our last night in Salzburg and it will be remembered by our visit to Zum Lowenstern. It's not necessarily easy to find but don't give up!

Meine Frau, ihre Eltern und ich waren an einem Sonntag dort zum Mittagessen. Nachdem unsere Bestellung aufgenommen wurde, ging die Chefin in die Küche und bereite alles frisch zu. Das Essen war wirklich sehr sehr gut und verdient die 5 Sterne Bewertung. Wem es egal ist, dass die Gaststube nicht schön und modern eingerichtet ist, sondern wirklich nur dazu geeignet ist, um dort zu essen, die oder der wird mit frisch zubereitetem und sehr gut schmeckendem Essen belohnt.
