Excellent diner to have a meal at if you are visiting Elora Town. We ordered Turkey dinner and baked pasta with alfredo and chicken. Both were delicious. Particularly the pasta was exceptional, even better than some Italian restaurants. Portions were generous and price was justified. Our server was also excellent, very helpful and caring. My husband and I went for a drive to Elora and came across what we thought from the outside was a quaint "country" restaurant. It was quaint alright, but not in the good way. We found the seating to be odd as the booths are very narrow and my husband and I kept bumping knees. As well don't expect good country cooking as the name is rather deceiving. We were pleased with all aspects of our meal. The food was tasty, plentiful and at a fair price. Our service was excellent from a wonderful young lady. We will return should we be back in Elora.
One of few places open on a Sunday evening. Great menu and food was terrific. Doing their best to serve a crowd on patio and inside tent. Was left to wait in an outside line, in blistering sun, hot and waiting. Hostess needed to be...a lot more obliging. Once in the waitress was terrific, food was quick and all was great!
We used to go to the Gorge Country Kitchen fairly regularly when visiting relatives nearby. It was consistently good. Hadn’t been for at least years until recently. Staff were still friendly and welcoming but food was a great disappointment. We ordered hot turkey sandwiches....The green and yellow beans were barely cooked, crunchy and worse, stringy. The turkey was tough and tasteless. (Pretty sure it had been frozen). I would have asked but waitress never asked how our meal was so didn’t bother. Worse turkey sandwich meal I’m pretty sure I’ve ever had. With the addition of one coffee and one ginger ale, the bill came to Sadly, we won’t be returning.
