What User doesn't like about La Fontana:
The service was wonderful! Even through they were very busy the staff were cheerful, friendly and always checking to make sure all was well. We loved the ambiance and thoroughly enjoyed our time. Not a recommended spot if you're vegan/plant based but vegetarian and carnivores are well represented. Have a good look at the menu before you make your reservation as they are not open to modifications. View all feedback.
Amazing service and good food at a reasonable price
We ate dinner on the terrace. Beautiful atmosphere, beautiful view, great tasting appetizers, bread, entrees, wine and dessert. Service was good and waitress was very accommodating to make our image and exchange more pleasant. Overall, I would reserve and eat here if we were in Elora.
We have ordered several times from here and we were pleased that we were happy to finally feed on their terrace. Unfortunately, we were disappointed with the service and food quality....
Great lunch with my family. All staff were very friendly. And of course, food is always amazing.
We’ve been frequenting a lot of restaurants in Elora over the summer and finally made our way to La Fontana earlier tonight. The ambience (and view) were nice, but the service was sub-par, and some of the entrees were… really not good. I frequent restaurants multiple times a week with my family and never leave negative reviews, however, this experience was borderline insulting. Long story short, both of our pastas were bad (with the pesto being the worse of the two). Because our server never checked in after dropping off our meals, there was no opportunity for us to really send anything back in hopes of giving them another try. When the server did finally come back to ask if we wanted the bill, we informed him that one of the pastas was virtually inedible, he said he spoke to a manager and that they were willing to give us 50% off the dish. I empathize with restaurant owners immensely as they navigate the pandemic (I have a lot of friends in the industry), but this dish shouldn’t have left the kitchen and definitely shouldn’t have ended up on our final bill. I definitely wouldn’t recommend visiting this restaurant. There are much better options in the area.
