Elmira's Sip 'n Bite

Went here for lunch on a Wed afternoon. Even though placed was packed server was there right away to take drink and food order. When food came we couldn't believe quantity and quality. Excellent all the away around.

Needed a quick lunch while traveling through Elmira and found this restaurant on Trip Advisor. Food was good, décor pleasant and service was very quick. Only complaint was there was not an option for a side salad to go with any of the sandwiches or wraps.

Went with family for an early summer dinner. Outside was a little bit run down which may lead to a bit of concern early on. Not fancy, nor stylish or even impeccably clean by any means, but the sleepy, small-town feel and polite and pleasant service were instantly apparent. All shortcomings were easily forgiven once the the food arrived. Our meals were delivered in a timely manner; fresh and hot, and the Greek salad had crisp veg and NOT one brown or wilted leaf (a sure sign of a kitchen that cares.) The grilled-cheese, Philly wrap, homemade chicken fingers with fries and salads on the side were all a notch-up from what one might expect for from a local diner. I guess that might explain why it has become a fixture in town.We will be back many times for certain- can't wait to try the breakfast and the Sip'n Bite brew!

We were seated instantly and our order taken quickly. Dinner was great. Such an extensive menu, so many choices. I had fish and chips and my friend had the liver. Huge platters of food. Excellent setup on the menu you can order half or whole portions. Food came quick and was served hot. Loved this place when I was a teen, and it seems like they continue to make and serve great meals.

Sip and Bite staff are friendly and work hard to ensure expedient service. Food quality is consistently good to very good, and you will never leave hungry.
