Guayaco's
Description
Guayaco’s is a family-run Queens standout serving authentic Ecuadorian coastal cuisine — famed for its encebollado, mixed seafood stews and generous, fresh portions. Lively Ecuadorian music complements fast, friendly service in a spotless, welcoming space. Standout dishes include encebollado de pescado, Bandera El Guayaco and bolón, making it a repeat-worthy spot for seafood lovers. While interior decor is modest and some find prices a bit high, the quality and authenticity make it a must-visit for craving coastal Ecuadorian flavors.

If you enjoy seafood and are open to trying Ecuadorian coastal cuisine, this is the spot for you! My personal favorite is the encebollado de pescado, but today I had the chance to try the Bandera El Guayaco for the first time, which included encebollado, and it was incredibly delicious. Every dollar spent here is absolutely worth it!
Whenever I'm longing for the scents, flavors of Guayaquil, and the warmth of my amazing coastal people, I come here. My husband, who is Dominican, loves our cuisine; his favorite is the mixed seafood stew with shrimp and fish. As for me, I enjoy everything, especially the fish encebollado, which helps me recover from a hangover. This is my go-to place; it's simply the best!
