Description

The Great Bears offers a lovely atmosphere and friendly staff, though some dishes were disappointing. While the fish pie was overpriced and bland, the lamb roast was succulent and the Camembert starter was delightful. Service was hit or miss, with some experiencing slow service while others had excellent experiences. The menu is on the small side but offers good value for money. The restaurant is family-friendly, with ample space both inside and outside. Overall, The Great Bears provides a cozy and enjoyable dining experience that merits a return visit.

Popped in for a drink after Sunday lunch at the Ivy, lovely atmosphere, great pint of cask, big sofas with lots of areas to hide away from the world in and nice real fire. Didn’t get food but saw the roast go by to other tables which looked great, will definitely try next time. Price per person: £20–30 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

It was recently my birthday and everything was astonishing! I went back for Valentines Day for some drinks and food. Our service was quick for how busy they were, and the food was divine. On my birthday, they went the extra mile, I had the Beef shin ragu with blue cheese, and it was absolutely incredible. Gina and Sam (two bartenders who you will tell from their scottish accents) sang happy birthday, and it absolutely made my night. Matt, the general manager, was extremely accomadating and is incredibly friendly. I've lived in cobham for over 10 years and can even remember when it was a Wildwood. They have done the area justice and will definitely be visiting again! I can not recommend this place enough. All the staff are amazing, and the food tastes incredibly. Hats off to the chefs!
