Was Anonym at Power's a mag?
Went with friend and kids for brunch. Food was excellent….although the full english was lacking beans and on the expensive side! Really liked the dining format now located towards back of premises and tables seemed nice and spaced out. View all feedback.
What Anonym dislikes about Power's:
We visited last week (our visit) as we like the food and the coffee. I ordered the Vegetable and Feta Tart, Salad and Slaw at a cost of plus service charge not cheap). The tart was delicious as expected but the...salad was not a salad it was a garnish, in fact there was more slaw than salad. I did not want to make a fuss as I hate sending food back when I've come out for a positive social experience as it dampens the... View all feedback.

Visited for brunch. Food ok, nothing special, don’t understand the rave reviews. American pancakes were ok but far too much maple syrup which made it overly sweet this should be served on the side. The eggs were pale which doesn’t say much for the quality. The restaurant is not accessible for wheelchair users or pushchairs, lots of steps and no ramps. No baby changing facility (no accessible toilet either).
Good quality tasty breakfast, great coffee, lovely setting and friendly attentive staff, thank you!! A cute little cafe with indoor and outdoor seating, a small fresh produce area and a cool quirky boutique. Well worth a visit!!
I could not recommend for a larger party. This place was highly recommended by many but I'm reluctant to return at all despite the food and cocktails being innovative and tasty. Our drinks took over 40 mins to arrive. Starter took 1hr 20mins to arrive. No apology or explanation. Main course eventually arrived after 1 hr 45 mins. Again no apology or explanation. One member of our party had to leave before she received hers. I missed my dessert because it wasn't going to be ready before I had to leave just before 4pm. Perhaps this is normal time to wait in this establishment? All the more disappointing for us because we were a pre-booked party who were asked to come late so they would be able to serve us properly. We were asked to come at 2pm so I very much assumed that we would be well finished by 4pm which was not the case. It would have been a much better experience if we had been advised that there were delays and how long to expect but we weren't and serving staff were thin on ground. I really felt in the circumstances that the 12.5% service charge should not have been added or we should have received complimentary drinks or coffees. Poor customer service in so many ways. As I said so very disappointing as I like to support local businesses.
Great Cafe Bistro, friendly staff and tasty breakfast and sandwiches , plenty of options sweets as well definitely recommend
A recent visit to the restaurant revealed mixed reviews on various aspects. While the food was generally liked, there were concerns about portion size, quality, and pricing highlighted by several customers. Service standards varied widely, with some enjoying a positive experience and others facing disappointment. The lack of accessibility facilities was also noted, affecting the overall customer experience. Despite a few negative encounters, the ambiance, friendly staff, and delicious coffee were praised by many, making Powers a hit among patrons seeking a delightful dining experience.

The restaurant offers excellent service and is a hidden gem. They serve breakfast and the cost per person ranges from £10 to £20. The food is rated 5 out of 5, the service is also rated 5 out of 5, and the atmosphere is rated 4 out of 5. Highly recommended dishes include the Sausage Bacon Ciabatta.
This restaurant is a fantastic choice for breakfast, brunch, lunch, tea, or coffee. They offer a delicious all-day brunch menu. The service is excellent and the atmosphere is great. There is plenty of parking available, with options for both free and paid parking lots. Overall, I highly recommend this place for a meal.
I’m a big fan of Power’s and have been visiting for many years. The perfect spot for long catch ups with a friend. Staff always lovely and welcoming, and the food is always delicious! My favourites include the pancakes with berries and the smashed avocado on sourdough, but everything else I’ve had is always great too! Would highly recommend and will definitely be back soon. Amazing coffee, friendly staff, and a charming atmosphere. Dining in was a delightful experience. The price per person is very affordable at £1-10. The food, service, and atmosphere all deserve a perfect 5-star rating.
