Great food! Great taste! Don't like that you have to purchase sides separately. Other than that great menu. Authentic New Orleans style cuisine. Will be eating there again!! Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $10–20 View all feedback.
Great place for real food. I enjoyed my fried green tomatoes and oysters. Poboys are a meal. Open on Sunday and no lines. Serve is busy but honest. Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: Crawfish Bisque, Fried Green Tomatoes, Fried Shrimp, Bread Pudding

We like this place...we are new to Ellisville...food was very good....nice friendly folks
I dined in for lunch and had a fantastic experience. The meal was great, earning a perfect score of 5 for the food. The service was equally impressive, also deserving a 5. The atmosphere was welcoming and relaxing, which contributed to the overall enjoyment of my visit. With a cost of about $10–20 per person, it's excellent value for such quality. Highly recommended!
The fried oysters were severely overcooked, to the point where the batter was hard and tasted like old grease. When I mentioned this to the woman at the counter, she seemed offended and told me that if I wanted them lightly cooked, they'd be happy to prepare them that way. Anyone familiar with coastal cuisine knows that oysters shouldn't be fried to the point of being rock hard. The bisque was decent, though it was made with Asian crayfish. Unlike Louisiana crayfish, which are purged before cooking, these had that muddy taste because they weren’t properly cleaned. Serving overcooked oysters alone in a plastic basket with no sides turned what could have been a lovely experience into something reminiscent of a tourist trap. This establishment is in a beautiful location, but if the staff become defensive and neglect to address feedback, they risk failing. I usually try a restaurant twice before deciding to move on, but I'm uncertain about returning to this one.
