We requested a table with 2 high chairs, which was not ready when we arri... read more Booked in for Mother's Day brekki. We expected it would be busy so didn't mind a wait. We requested a table with 2 high chairs, which was not ready when we arrived. No problem, we waited while they sorted it. We sat down and had someone come and ask us if we were ready to order, as had just arrived we said no we didn't have menus yet. We waited for them to come back, but no one did so I grabbed a couple menus off the bar. We ordered 10 minutes later when the waiter came back. We were seated by the door and saw plenty of people filtering in. A group of 6 arrived and let the main server (presumably the manager) know that they had a booking for 6. He laughed and told them that they would need to wait at least 10 minutes. 40 minutes after ordering, we grabbed a waiter and asked for an update on how long our food would be. He immediately said 2 minutes and then ran off. Another waitress came up and asked if there was an issue. We said we just wanted to know how long our food would be. She said 40 minutes. We clarified if that was 40 minutes from now or from when we ordered, she said from when we ordered. We informed her it had been 40min. She went off to check with the kitchen. By this time our young children were getting fussy, so we were both standing rocking our children and keeping them entertained. At that point the manager served a person in line who was asking for a table, and said that they could have the table that we were at and they just needed to clear it. We told him, we had been there for 40minutes and not had our food yet. He went to the kitchen to check. In the interim another waiter had overheard the manager about clearing our table and started picking up our glasses and wiping over the table. The manager came back and said it would be 5 minutes. We decided to leave immediately. As we left we walked past a table getting their food who had arrived 30minutes after us. Mothers Day breakfast ruined. The food at the next table looked nice though.

Very happy with the overall experience. However, not being familiar with Ellenbrook, it was not so easy to locate the premises as the there are no street number... read more Very happy with the overall experience. However, not being familiar with Ellenbrook, it was not so easy to locate the premises as the there are no street numbers and no signage outside the shop. I would suggest at least a hanging sign outside the premises which can be seen from both directions. Otherwise everything was excellent.
