What Doug Wells doesn't like about Wilson's Whistlestop:
Went once and food was great.Second time we called to order takeout and someone asked “can you hold one minute?”5 minutes later and nobody picked up the phone. Called every 5 minutes after that and phone still seemed off hook. After almost 30 minutes gave up. Like the food but hate the “place a takeout” service. Fabulous food. Great service. They even had excellent live music for our Saturday lunch.

My neighbor spoke this place up and said that they had some good ribs they were close enough to me that I can go and knock on their door I mean visit the restaurant and check it out for myself and I did just the in Elkhorn Wisconsin nice layout, open, inviting, had a singer, so all pluses right outdoor seating. The ribs was Amateur at best they still had the membrane on the back, burnt, over seasoned and no smoke rings no smoke flavoring the biggest crime -DRY and tough
Amazing service, hospitality, AND management! Cheese curds are drops of heaven and the burgers are AMAZING!
Very delicious pork chop sandwich and nice service in a pleasant space. Local beers on tap features local meats from Wilson's Meat store.
