Contribute Feedback What Michael St likes about Cappy's Northside Tavern:
This is an old place, with a lot of history and has never been updated. It will take you back in time and the average customer is definitely on social security! But the food is all made there and it really was excellent. Prices are low and the service is pretty good. I will go back. View all feedback.
What Don Camillo doesn't like about Cappy's Northside Tavern:
Not the same since ownership change. Not the same standard of service. Disappointing. Salads served with entree. Food was cold. Mostaccioli with sausage for $16 had two small pieces of sausage. When asked about the lack of sausage I was told that’s how it is portioned. Check brought during the meal. Plates not cleared. We will not return. View all feedback.
I just stopped by for the first time in 27 years and the food is still just as delicious! It’s nice to see that they have taken great care of the place while keeping its original things like the bar that give is such character.
We had a great experience from the time we entered the door. The food was delicious! The whole dinner was wonderful.
The server didn't seem to care about us at all. Even after we pulled a hair out of the marinara right in front of her! Burntttt bacon on my bacon cheeseburger (which was dryer than my sense of humor). Had to have another server get our bill at the end. Sad story.
Delicious food, great atmosphere and friendly service!
Love this local gem. My favorite menu item is the white chicken chili. It was a bit runny with very little chicken or beans last time we had it to go. Hoping that was just an off day. Deep fried tenderloin is also fantastic.
