Peony Palace Chinese Mongolian Bbq

Located on the outskirts of Sacramento, this restaurant is a hidden gem. It offers American style Chinese food that evokes a sense of nostalgia. The dishes are hearty and reasonably priced. I visited in search of no-frills Chinese food to cure my hangover and was not disappointed. The dragon chicken soup, made with chicken, shrimp, and vegetables, was both comforting and delicious, earning a 9/10 rating. The restaurant also offers all-you-can-eat or a la carte Mongolian BBQ, a unique option in the area. The service was quick, efficient, and very friendly. The staff, including the owner, were engaging with customers, creating a welcoming atmosphere. I will definitely be returning every time I visit Sacramento from the city.

Another 5-star review! The only issue I have with this place is that they need to open another location in Sacramento. East Sacramento is in desperate need of good Chinese food. They have the best noodles, rice, and everything else. I absolutely love this place.

This restaurant is absolutely incredible! The service was perfect and the food was delicious. We ordered a combo for 2 people that cost $39 for our party of 4, and we had plenty of leftovers. Everything about our experience was perfect!

Tried this place after a friend recommended her neighborhood Mongolian BBQ spot. The place is clean and service is really friendly. The egg drop corn soup was sooo good! I scraped my bowl. I was a little disappointed that there were no bean sprouts available at the time I made my bowl. Also, the veggies are cut pretty large and thick. I always add my sauces and mix my perfect blend. But here, the cook, adds sauces. You aren't asked what you want or if you want more...it just happens. What is chosen and how much I have no clue because I was never asked and there was a different blend for myself and my husbands bowl. I found that odd. Also, there is a whole entire bowl of water used during the cooking process so that waters down the sauces quite a bit. I've seen a splash or a few cups of water used at other places but here it seemed a bit much. I'd come back, but only for the egg drop corn soup. Yummy!

General chicken is amazing. Nancy is super Great food great service. Can't wait to go back
