What Andrea M doesn't like about Soco:
THEY ARE NOT OPEN. My fiancé and I stumbled across this place on Yelp and we're so excited to try it out. We drive there and ... nothing. Vacant building. Please update your Yelp account. View all feedback.
Very good food minus the portions. The service was great and the people were warm and welcoming. I ordered take out, so didn 't really get to sit down and eat from there but I waited for the food from inside. But you definitely could tell they had just opened up, new kids on the block ... The food tastes really great, I ordered for the three sides since im not a meat fan and every combo had some kind of meat. I got, corn, mashed potatoes, green beans and an extra side of mash. It was worth it, only thing I 'd love is increasing the portion sizes. They were extremely, extremely small; despite paying $25, the food I ordered could fit in my palms yes, it was that little)! I feel like I had just eaten a kiddies meal. Also the corn had been fried with a too much oil so it was all greasy, .
Love the food can't get enough of it. And the owners are awesome!! They make you feel like part of their family.
Found this gem right around the corner from our house. Inside is open and airy. There are games on the tables for you to play while you wait for your food. And let me tell you, the food is worth the wait. Everything was so flavorful and delicious. I had the chicken breast, mashed potatoes and corn. My husband and the j chicken and Mac-n-cheese. We also got for dessert the peach cobbler and banana pudding which was amazing. Currently they are open until 6 so go and grab lunch or an early dinner. You won't be disappointed.
The food was Amazing!! I enjoyed talking to Josie!! I will definitely be back! The Mardi Gras pasta was a hit! The grits were so creamy! ?
LOOO-OO-VED this place! Southern style food served with true Southern hospitality on real plates with real silverware! I had the pulled pork, garlic mashed potatoes and smoky green beans . Great! To die for was the luscious banana pudding. Enough for two but I managed somehow on my own. This is my new favorite place. Thanks, Adriannah! And you, you need to go there today.
