Good food but would prefer more rice, and naan to come with meals. Good service, helpful. It's partly a grocery store too so not as romantic or classy but still nice. Restrooms were not that nice. Ordered Chicken Tikka Masala, and Murgh Chettinad with chicken. We said medium spicy but the murgh was a 7 and the Tikka was a 5. I love the Indian spices and so a 5 was plenty for me. I've visited this restaurant a few times and tried various dishes, but I haven't had the food yet. Whenever I'm in ETown, I typically make a point to stop by here.
Always fantastic! Be sure to order the Butter Chicken. The staff may be quiet, but they treat everyone with kindness. Enjoy the Indian-style football on the TV while you're there!

My research determined that this was likely to be one of the few businesses that would meet my criteria (vegetarian-friendly, locally owned, and good) within a large geographic area. I was quite pleased to be right about this, when I arrived and found the place bustling. They lined all of their free wall space with shelves of Indian groceries, which I'm guessing are pretty hard to find around here. Their actual menu was pretty standard North Indian; less diverse than the grocery section. Getting any chaat item is a good idea because everyone can make it their own; there is no standard recipe. Here, the aloo tikki chaat had too little of the actual fried potato pattie for my liking, but came with an intoxicating array of flavors and more of a chili sauce kick than most of these dishes. The puffed rice soaked up flavors nicely. My entree was a bhindi masala which came, again, warmly spiced but delivered a mix of fruity flavors that I was hoping for. A paratha was perfectly flaky and peeled apart well to mop all of this up. I was a bit disappointed with the excess of salt, as there were plenty of other flavors, and excess saltiness is one of my biggest pet peeves. Still, having gotten freshly cooked, tasty food was a win.
Absolutely delicious Indian cuisine, from the garlic naan bread to the chicken samosa appetizers to the Chicken Tikka Masala entree to the warm rice pudding for dessert. The Tandoori chicken over the bed of grilled onions is definitely an entree that can be shared. If you love spicy food, then hot will heat you up and make your lips tingle! If you 're into the level of spice which the average bear just can 't handle, then you want Indian Hot ! Otherwise, request mild or medium . Service was quick, polite perfect. Also has a nice Indian market with a selection of authentic Indian foods treats to enjoy at home. Namaste!
