Big Dan's - Elizabethton

My wife and I both had the BBQ chicken plate and we agree that it was exactly what we were looking for. Delicious and neatly served! I would suggest trying the mustard sauce for a small extra punch, but is very good without at all. As far as the pages are concerned, who does not get the baked beans is missing on a whole level that most beans never reach. Seriously, I can't write about it anymore because I'm really hungry. This place is worth the stop! I can't wait to try the ribs!!!

If you're looking for home BBQ... that's it. Best grill in East Tennessee hands down. I forgot to make a picture when the food came and we sleep down. The potato salad is NOT to be missed. With Big Dan himself cooking our food in the kitchen we felt the love and history in every bite! Seriously. SERIOUSLY. This is the place.

Bands and burnt ends were good. Small portion at the burned ends. Chicken was fine. Potato salad was good, but not so much her Mac Cheese and Green Collards. Service was great. Overall, good BBQ place.

We had a family event and decided to get Dan's pulled pig to have sandwiches. Everyone who had the BBQ said it was very good. We have the regular and hot sauces for people to choose. While most of the regular ones who wanted hot more. We plan to repeat this on the 4th but get more so that people can have some as leftovers. If you order BBQ to go and need to be more than 5 pounds safe, give Dan's call about 5 days before picking up, so they have enough for everyone.

My family and I have been going to Big Dan’s for over 5 years, we’ve never had a bad experience. We know Dan personally and he’s really good guy and has a great restaurant and friendly staff. The food is always great. One of my favorite places to eat.
