What Mellie Orn likes about El Iman:
They make Ají de Gallina and that's enough to love them. A very traditional dish, yet often ignored by chefs. They have rocker waitresses. Very family oriented restaurant. I liked my dish and obviously have to have it again. However, I think the next time I go I should try something different. The chicha was extremely sweet. View all feedback. What User doesn't like about El Iman:
do not order the insert milanesa it takes forever and it is not cooked that happens today and no one asks them if they are ok so that they end up paying for something they have not eaten I have pictures not good View all feedback.

read moreEl Iman offers a mixed experience for diners, with some lamenting changes in food quality and service while others praise the traditional Peruvian dishes and family-friendly atmosphere. Some caution against specific dishes and slow service, while others highly recommend classics like the Pollo A La Brasa and Ají de Gallina. The restaurant is noted for its affordability and BYOB policy, making it a popular spot for those seeking authentic Peruvian cuisine in NJ. Overall, El Iman seems to have both loyal patrons and critics, making it a mixed bag for prospective diners.
I absolutely adore this restaurant. Their potato dish and lomo Saltado are definitely worth waiting for.
Had a great meal, with great service. My son, who rarely finishes his meal ate it all. Totally worth the pleasant experience.
