Rose & Crown Hotel - ELIZABETH SOUTH

Food was reasonable at a fair price. Service was good, and plenty of room. We had a table for 15 reserved. All went well

Well i arrived at the rose n crown at around 6.20 pm at night and picked up my keys for my room and was shown where it was by a staff person.As i opened the door i was greeted by a sickening smell, one which had vomit written all over it . after having a look for the culprit on the floor and carpet area i could not find any, so i had to get ready for a meeting and rushed out the door without notifying the staff due to running late. I came back to the room around 11.30 and it was smelling so bad i had to breath through the sheets. in the morning i arose and had a shower and had to head off early again with no sign of staff around.lucky i only stayed there for two nights and when checking out i let them know this was putrid and later in the week they refunded my money which was very good of them.

Good pub food. Large serving. Range of beer on tap. Good value for money. The decor is pretty dated, but it still a comfortable place to eat.

I didn't think Elizabeth was a place where tourists would visit, let alone stop to ask for directions. However it seems that Trip Advisor will list anything and everything, including a pretty horrid pub in the heart of Elizabeth. Yeah, I wouldn't recommend this place, especially if you are from out of town. They don't seem to like strangers around here, especially in the sports bar or the patio out the front.

Meals great. Staff very friendly and helpful. Only complant the 2 sets of stairs to the accomadation. The suite was very clean and had everything we needed .
