Their menu has many options, from a classic meal to delicious yummy Mexican breakfast, such as their chorizo skillet made with authentic Mexican chorizo. The staff and their service at Golden Skillet is friendly, and our food arrived so prompt. I highly recommend this small owned business. Parking: There is plenty of parking right in front of the restaurant and even more spaces on the right side of the building
Busy family diner on a Friday morning. Staff was crazy busy but still attentive and friendly. Beter than average prices. We'll be going back!
Food was great. The menu is expensive with breakfast and lunch selections. Haven’t had a bad thing there yet. Kid-friendliness: Very kind of the kids, even though they were being noisy spoke to them directly and tried to make them happy
The food is really solid, not out of this world but far from bad.But what makes Golden Skillet special is the fact that you feel at home walking into it. All the workers are so kind and caring, they always make sure that your drinks are full and that your food is made well. The prices are such a good deal. Dietary restrictions: They are more than welcome to adjust and substitute any restrictions, gluten, sodium or even ingredients.
I love this place for breakfast, wait staff is nice, food is great. Their ham steak is awesome and I also come for their pancakes. I live 3 hours away now, but I stop in every time I get back to Elgin.
