Don Taco Ice Cream Land - Elgin

Everything I've had was delicious tacos, tortas , tamales , atole , rice beans ???????? but the lady taking my order always seems angry and annoyed. The customer service could be better. The food is great though.

I bought a case of tortillas and half case was bad mold hopefully when i call tommorow there able to replace the packs that are bad i took pictures i called today october 4th 2022 at 7:05pm but they didnt answer 11 packs of tortillas are bad

To start off they had a holiday ham or leg going on which I ordered for my company party 1 week ahead of time and they said it would be ready the next week at 1pm. I called the following week in the morning just to confirm my pick for the day (good thing I did too), and they had forgotten about my order and they said it would be ready at 230pm (kind of late for lunch if you as me) I show up at 230 to pick up my order and they told me it would still be another 10 minutes, I spoke with the manager and expressed my frustration with the ham and she went on to have an attitude with me, at which point she wanted to cancel my order. After the 10 minutes, the manager comes out and says that the ham I ordered isn't ready, but she has another ham ready if I would like. The difference in the ham is that I ordered a spicy ham and the one she had ready wasn't spicy. Would definitely not recommend this place due to their lack of communication and the managers attitude. P.S. at no point in time did they mentioned that the oven broke down and as a company owner I would have called the customer and informed them about the situation ahead of time.

Got the birria tacos and consomé when the food came out it was all cold. The spoon they provided me was dirty with dried out salsa on it. And the customer service was the worst anytime we asked for anything it was a problem. Never stepping foot in this place and do not recommend for anyone please save your money.

Personally, I think these are the best birria tacos in elgin. I tried SEVERAL sites and none are as good as these. sometimes their consumption will not have the garbanzos or rice, but most of the time it does. the taste is always there. I always come. they also have really good aguas frescas.
