The daily special fried cod with everything bagel cru... read more The food at the restaurant was below average. The duck was had, dry and chewy and the sauce was too sweet. The daily special fried cod with everything bagel crusting was terrible and had a bad odour to it and had to be sent back. The replacement miso salmon was better but still overcooked. The bright spots were the ribeye steak that was well cooked and the chocolate desert. Service vas outstanding. Polite, efficient and courteous. The atmosphere and decor were decent. We were seated in a room adjacent to the main seating area which was cold but the staff did raise the temperature a little. Overall a disappointing experience.

Even though we were the only table in the entire restaurant (the adjoining hotel had no guests either), we received a warm welcome. The food and service were outstanding, and we never felt rushed. It was a truly enjoyable experience.

The service was top-notch, with the staff being incredibly friendly and attentive. The atmosphere was lovely as well! We drove over an hour to reach the restaurant, and we will definitely return.

I ordered the duck, which was savory, perfectly crispy, and complemented by an excellent sauce that wasn't overpowering. It was served with sautéed spinach and wild rice. I had a lovely experience dining at a table by the window with a nice view. I will definitely be back!
