We have been to this restaurant several times and taken family and friends. We did not notice until yesterday after being given an extortionate bill , that the VAT is not included in the price in the menu but is added on the bill at payment. So everything you see is far more expensive than you are led to believe. Also they seem to make up the price as they go along. They charged us 14. 50 for 4 small pieces of cheese and some Iberico ham. We told the waiter we only wanted a small portion for one person as a starter as I did not want a starter. When we challenged this after receiving the bill, we were told the cheese and ham were serperate on the menu, so they had no price for a small starter of cheese and ham together, so instead of charging us a reasonable price, they charged us 14,50 euros, which is a complete rip off. Considering we have taken so many people there and had been regular customers, you would have thought they would have had some respect for us. Eventually after arguing the point and not accepting this rip off, they charged us 8.50 which is what they should have charged in the first place. This was not the first time we challenged the bill in the past as quite a few times it was incorrect, BUT always in THEIR favour. Generally the food is typically Spanish and quite good, but certainly NOT value for money. A plate of grilled vegetables cost 12.50 euros for one person.. I was disgusted to be treated so badly after the amount of custom we had given them. We certainly won't be back ever again and neither will our friends or family. Their greed has lost them a lot of future business.

We went to this restaurant many years ago, then it was more like a truck stop, never went back until now. It was a Monday night and the only one we could find that was open. Oh, how glad I am that we did. The place has been upgraded and has a posh glass curtained patio, well dressed tables and a new menu. We started with Gambas Ajillo, garlic prawns with warm fresh bread, delicious, then a house salad, patatas bravas and Calamares Romana. A nice bottle of house red and a whiskey and tonic for my wife. Every dish was really good, service was just right. We finished off with a Chocolate Souffle, one of the best desserts I have ever had in Spain, exceptional. For the three of us we only paid 58.60 Euros, fantastic value for money. Looking at the menu, there are lots of dishes that I will be trying inj the near future, Dishes that are rarely found in Spain. This hidden gem is now well worth trying.

Menu del dia good value at 12.50 , with 5 starters to choose from and 5 mains . The arroz and the gazpacho were excellent but sone if our party ordered the revueltos and were served caldo with pelota instead. The mains of entrecôte were well cooked but the lamb was overcooked and dry. Puddings were average for a del dia

A normal meal and increase in price

Attention and spectacular dinner service. The entrances in this case were broken eggs and chromquets and everything was quite good, but the fox chopped to the stone seemed to me an authentic show, both his preparation in front of us and was a special cheesecake, quite creamy as I did. in short, place to return when you have to make a stop near the area.
