Excellent family-run tavern boasting fresh fish every day. The owner was very nice and so was the guy who served us (he also speaks Italian). Excellent dishes, very nice location even if the sea view is not worth it. Dessert offered. We will definitely be back. Adorable kittens in the area who keep you company Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner View all feedback.
What Ευγενία Ζαβιτσάνου doesn't like about Sta Kala Kathoumena:
Very nice taverna and good food. Try chai. Prices are high, but this is a general phenomenon on the island. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: €20–25 View all feedback.
The moussaka is delicious, cooked in an earthenware pot, one of the best I have had the opportunity to eat. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

The best restaurant I tried in a week, it's a shame I discovered it last evening. More Greek and less touristy dishes than other taverns, cooked as a grandmother would do it. Spectacular feta with honey, kid with potatoes and stuffed vegetables. Super friendly and fast service. The dessert offered was also very good. Lower than average prices. Advised! Service: Dine in

The tavern is a little hidden behind the port streets, but only 30 meters from the port. The setting is very romantic and relaxing, with Greek music in the background. The waiter who served us spoke and understood Italian well. It is family run so a guarantee for Greek taverns and they have their own boat that goes out every day to get fresh fish. Fish specialties but meat and all the typical local dishes are also excellent. We ate in 2, 1 fried squid, an octopus in vinegar, broad bean with grilled bread, fried sardines, stuffed squid, water, 1 beer and rakomelo as a finale (the dessert offered, good and appreciated). They are very kind, warm and the service is fast but never intrusive. Unfortunately we discovered it too late and only ate dinner with them 2 evenings, if we had known we would have done it every evening. Prices are lower than the competitors on the port (which are the classic tourist places). Highly recommended without doubt.
