Good fortune landed on us on a day in August 2022. We were looking for lunch, we were starving, urgent tedious shopping excursions had left us with little time and did I mention WE WERE STARVING! The first place we looked at was packed... Move on... We went to another restaurant...It was closed until 2 p.m (lunch time in August? Then just like Goldilocks we stumbled into our third choice, Caché. Never been here before. First impression, This 'll do, nice outside space here, bit closer to the road, so a bit noisy, but hey beggars and all that! If you 've read my reviews before you know how it goes. 1. Greeting. There was only one young man on duty and there were at least 7 or 8 tables already full demanding attention. Would we have to wait ages? None of it! A huge smile, a calm and efficient, professional greeting and within a minute or two lunch was ordered. 2. The menu was varied, but not overladen with choice. A tomato salad, chicken in Roquefort sauce (yes a sauce!l , patatas bravas, bread with allioli and house salad with... STOP! Insisted the waiter You 're ordering too much food for two people. Wow! That 's a first I thought. Ok hold the house salad we 'll try that next time. 3. The quality of the food was simple but amazingly tasty and very satisfying. 4. No desert, just ice creams, but that was ok, there was an amazing choice and the coffee was truly amazing. All of this for an outstandingly low price. What a place! So last test. 5. Will we return? You 'd better believe it! Next time with the family that are about to visit. Well done Caché you set an amazing standard. An example for others near by to emulate. I hope we can come again here soon. We did not eat but had a few ice cold drinks. Thanks a lot for an authentic welcoming stay!
