What User doesn't like about West Texas Tap House:
Daughter Ordner wings we send back as they were cold in the inner and looked like before boiled just warmed in the microwave. surprisingly manager calculated for them oh no let them correct me, he gave us a discount because some eaten wings had a little, but that is in the rule how they try to eat View all feedback.
Before you decide to go or not based on the ratings, make sure you read them thoroughly and understand what type of establishment this is. It's meant to be mostly self-serve. You seat yourself, you pour your own drinks, you pay by the ounce, and you order your food at the front desk area where you also check in and pay. It's not a typical sit-down restaurant. It's a self-serve tap house that also serves food. My experience was a positive one. The staff greeted us and made sure we knew how to operate the taps. There was a wide variety of beers, sours, ciders, wine, and even mead available. You can sample a little bit of several drinks or enjoy a couple glasses of your favorite. It's a great way to find new options! There are a few soda options as well for people who don't drink. I didn't order any food while I was there, but the people I was with did and said it was decent. The restaurant itself was fairly big and open, which meant there was plenty of space even on a busy Friday night. It's a unique experience and it isn't for everyone, but keep in mind what it's supposed to be.
! continue before going! I read an evaluation before going and because I understood what the concept of this place it and because that is my new favorite place in el paso. that is a place of self-service. I'll say it again. it is a self serving place. they go in and there is a station with workers and they tell them how the place works and go through them as they pour their drinks. they open their register card with them and they give them a key so they can be loaded by the ounce, but each tipp tells them how much it is per ounce. then they get their glass from a cold refrigerator on the side of the wall and they go to the servier wall and pour their drink to their own. they have a large selection of beers from local breweries plus mead! I really enjoyed trying the mead! they also have some wine, spirits and mix drinks as well as brand refreshments for a non-alcoholic option, but still good. if they want to eat, they go back to the recipe and give them their order. do not order everyone at once. like an app, meal and desert. they will bring out everything immediately, so that they will make their order as they go. we have the chicken nachos and the huh was good, but I lacked the homemade salsa that it mentioned, but I still enjoyed it. hubs and I share the luke green chili burger and I really enjoyed it. they also had very good pommes. but my favorite part of the experience I was finally in the situation, whisper with my porter! omg I was so disappointed that almost none of the breweries here in el paso enjoy any kind of dessert with the porter. we have the carrot cake with the abuela stout and it was all I knew it would be. the fill of the stout with light bitter aftertaste and then a bit of creamy carrot cake quality is one of my favorite aroma combos ever. this place is now my favorite place here in el paso and will come more often. but remember that they will not come and serve them. they will not come to check them. they will not bring them to drink after filling. If you need anything, you have to go to them or get it yourself. but also with all that, do not forget, tip these amazing people there.
This place is very family ready, what I mean by that is the table set ups and atmosphere. It was really cool to be able to taste any thing they offer with the fob. They havea very interting selection of beers with ones that you may never try again. The food selection was pretty good for a bar like this. The staff is awesome but kinda young but they were still great.
Pick your own beer, pour per ounce and pay per ounce. Amazing experience!!
Great selection of beer and wine even select cocktails
