This was my first visit to the restaurant. The waitress greeted me warmly, and I was promptly given the menus at my table. What User doesn't like about Ramen Ichiban:
I wasn't impressed. That was my first experience that I ate ramen noodles in a restaurant. It wasn't great, not tasteful. It tasted like noodle soup, with vegetables; nothing special. I ordered the first option in the menu. I didn't write any rams. However, I will definitely try to improve on my ramen experience and visit other places in other cities. View all feedback.
This was my first visit to the restaurant. The waitress greeted me warmly, and I was promptly given the menus at my table. I started with a California Roll as an appetizer, and I was pleasantly surprised by how well the soy and the roll complemented each other—so smooth and savory! For my main dish, I ordered the Tonkotsu ramen. The pork bone broth was wonderfully balanced, and the ramen was packed with vegetables. The noodles were very thin and tasted absolutely delightful. My only critique of the broth is that I would prefer it to be a bit less creamy. Overall, though, this is definitely a solid 5 out of 5. I will be coming back more often. Thank you, and I look forward to seeing you soon!
This restaurant is truly beautiful and picturesque. I was quite surprised to find that it was empty when I visited on Friday. The staff were friendly and welcoming. I ordered the spicy beef noodles, which were delicious, and I loved that they used Udon noodles. However, I found the spice level to be milder than I expected—not as hot as Kaedama or Noodles and Dumplings. It might be a good idea for them to offer chili oil with more heat to match what I'm used to. I also tried their gyoza, which was good, but I wish it had been served immediately after steaming, like I'm accustomed to. I'm really grateful to have a ramen shop in the heart of downtown, and I plan to visit more often. For anyone who enjoys authentic Japanese cuisine, they also have tasty dorayaki and UCC coffee in cans. Plus, they even serve Ramune!

I hope to see greater improvements. Ichiban 一番 means, “#1” in Japanese. • I was disappointed that the shop uses compostable plates- but do they really compost them? Plus they are not recyclable, after getting dirty/used. • They use cheap plastic cups... • I hope they use actual cups and small bowls soon. This disappoints me. The service is good, they get a lot of phone calls.
