I sat down and waited 15 minutes, but no one came to take my order, which is frustrating because this was my second visit today. During my first meal, I asked for no bell peppers, and they still served them to me. Now, during my second attempt, I noticed four waitresses standing around the counter laughing, yet none of them bothered to take my order. It's no surprise they're closing down.
I had a very disappointing experience with the service here. I'm relieved to hear that it's being replaced by Black Bear Diner; hopefully, they'll also replace the staff because the service and management were terrible. I dined in for breakfast, and the price per person was around $10–$20.
The food was awful; they didn't even add a pinch of salt! I really can't recommend this restaurant.
I have to say, I wouldn't recommend this place. Here's why: there are many dedicated workers at restaurants like this one in busy truck stops, and I genuinely want to support them. I'm also a good tipper. However, when I walked in, I noticed nearly a dozen open tables, but none were clean enough to eat at—except for the ones marked with little green signs due to COVID distancing. Those were the only clean tables. I understand that some truckers may not be the tidiest, but many of us prefer a table without grease and crumbs for our one meal a day. From my experience, iron skillets are typically not my favorite choice, and this place is a perfect example of why.
Good food and the servers were so polite and attentive A+
