I ordered the El Chepe, which came with arrachera, 2 eggs, chilaquiles, beans, and soup. The soup was a tasty tlapeño with fresh cheese, tortilla strips, garbanzo beans, and other vegetables. This was not your typical Tex Mex from El Paso. Instead, it featured authentic flavors and tastes from the state of Chihuahua in Mexico. What Alf Bode doesn't like about El Chepe Chihuahua Grill:
The chilaquiles were terrible, stale, and off-putting. The owner confessed that they had used old tostadas that had been mixed in with the new batch, causing multiple tables to complain. If the owner's wife acknowledged that they were leftovers from the previous day, why were they still served? This was our second visit and we were disappointed, as our first experience was excellent. I am always searching to find the best mexican food restaurant and I believe I have found it. El Chepe has the best tasting mexican food and a very reasonable prices. I have visited them for at least three times a week and service and taste is consistently great.
Well this is the 3rd time to visit and it's getting better each time. This place is located at the corner of a busy street and space is limited at the front yet more is available in the back lot. The restaurant is divided into 2 sections and its brightly decorated in Hispanic style. The servers have always been attentive and kind. We started with the queso fundido with rajas and chorizo. The flavor is bursting and the rajas are not spicy. Your table is suppplied with tostadas and chile. My son ordered slider plate, my wife enchiladas montadas and I had rib eye with 2 eggs. The sliders are good size with the portion of fries. The enchiladas were not soggy and it can be seen home made tortillas. The rib eye was cook effectively in its juices and eggs done right over easy. The only issue was the kitchen mixing fish with beef utensils as the fish flavor was prominent with the vegetables. Overall a good place, Mexican music on and tasty food. We Will make it part of our regular places to dine.
Very good food, awesome wait staff, no wait for a table. I had the green chile burger (delicious and enormous). Hubby has tacos asada. Also had queso fundido as an appetizer. So yummy!
New place in town, went for breakfast. Had the enchiladas montadas roja, so good! Others had the breakfast Chepe and arrachera breakfast- both were also delicious. Hopefully this place sticks around!
Very good food and reasonable prices. Awesome customer service. Ask for Liz! Awesome waitress... Thanks
