Great Buffet $13.75! Under new management, China Pearl is now a Mexican-Chinese restaurant. The staff are friendly and welcoming. The beef stew (Caldo de Rez) was excellent, and the General Tso's chicken was also great. When we visited (5/4/24), the new owners had only been managing the restaurant for about a week. They said they were still adding items to the menu, and asked what we like to eat, so they could add it... View all feedback.
What RRJ doesn't like about China Pearl:
Under new ownership. I used to love this place. Was very consistent and you knew what you were getting. New owner kept name but changed recipes. Yes, there is more of a variety but I could not think of one item I enjoyed. Very sad to see the old China Pearl is no longer. View all feedback.
Tasty food. I go there for the buffet. Lots of various items. Nice, friendly and helpful staff. Will. Continue to frequent.
All left over food. The girl kept telling everyone who walked in that fresh food was coming but never did!!
I will never go to this place again. At first it seemed like it would be OK. The sign says Mexican Chinese buffet and it is exactly what it says. The fried rice was dark and well not fried rice. I can't describe and wouldn't recommend it. The chow mein type noodles had a very different flavor. The beef and broccoli and sesame chicken was probably the best of it all. Everything had a very either super sweet or sour kind of flavor and not consistent within each particular dish. Some bites were too sweet and others sour. The flavor was not uniform throughout. The spring rolls tasted like the cabbage had not been rinse before it was cut up and rolled up and fried. Instant regret. The hot and sour soup was pretty good. It had full mushrooms in it which was nice. The waitress there was very friendly but that alone would not get me to go back. Two buffets and two Mexican sodas with a 15 tip came out to 42 dollars and change. The food was certainly not worth that. I hate to say it but I would certainly stick with any other food option. It says that it's under new management, I would hate to see what it was like before.

If a buffet this great opened in our town, it would have so much business, they wouldn't know what to do.We hope they succeed. Give them a try! Parking: Easy access from the interstate, great distance from downtown locations.
