This is one of those local gem mom and pop restaurants that everyone loves. Great sandwiches, great onion rings and good prices. The restaurant itself it a little dated and the owners say very little, but the food speaks for itself. I've been coming here since I was a kid and will continue coming until I no longer can. Parking: Free parking but limited parking spaces. View all feedback.

1. The cleanliness of the restaurant was very poor.
2. The staff pretended not to understand my English while I was ordering.
3. I paid but did not receive a receipt.
4. The burger I received was cold, as shown below.
5. The packaging used in the store was very worn and did not meet hygiene standards.
6. I opted for takeout, yet I was still required to leave a tip. Despite tipping, I still experienced discrimination.
7. I will never return to this restaurant. If you are not a racist, I would advise you to steer clear of this place.
This is some of the best and most affordable food you can find not only in El Monte but throughout Los Angeles County.

I went here at least once a week for lunch. I am moving away and will miss this place. Nice place to sit and have lunch, kind service and prices are fair. Definitely try the teriyaki steak chicken subs. I regularly got their cheese burger combos as well.
