Wow. I had the Carnitas plate and it was shameful. They did a great job in the spices in pork and presented it on a bed of caramelized onions and peppers. My wife had fish tacos and said they were great. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about La Cascada Family Mexican:
This restaurant has changed hands several times over the years since it was opened. Honestly, the original owners had the best menu, service and quality of food. Our last visit here was pretty average above the board. Short staff, the food was hot, but not exceptionally good. It is hard to find a great Mexican restaurant I EDH or Folsom. Zocolas, expensive, but probably the best Mexican food in town. View all feedback.
I gave this restaurant a rating of 60. It was my aunt's birthday celebration, and we had a fantastic time. The margaritas were excellent, and the service was impressively quick, even with such a large group. I ordered the Chili Verde, and it was very flavorful!
Wow! I ordered the Carnitas plate, and it was outstanding. The spices on the pork were expertly done, and it was beautifully presented on a bed of caramelized onions and peppers. My wife had the fish tacos, and she raved about how great they were!
This restaurant has changed ownership several times since it first opened. To be honest, the original owners provided the best menu, service, and food quality. During our last visit, the experience was fairly average. The staff was limited, and while the food was hot, it wasn't anything exceptional. It's challenging to find a great Mexican restaurant in El Dorado Hills or Folsom. Zocolas is pricey, but it might be the best Mexican food in the area.
We love happy hour. The staff is cool. I have to get the Ramos Margaritas. I am a creature of habit and always the chicken enchiladas with the Verde sauce.
La Cascada is a good place to go if you're looking for something on-the-spot. I wouldn't go there expecting to be blown away with authentic Mexican Cuisine though. The food itself was fairly normal, nothing to really write home about. For alot of the prices you'd expect a little more flavor, wouldn't necessarily say they overcharge but there are better options out there that offer more bang for your buck. Definitely just a run-in-the-mil restaurant.
