Our experience here was great. Service was outstanding, food was delicious and our granddaughter had a birthday today and they presented us with a generous bowl of ice cream and 4 churros to share. A thoughtful gesture, indeed! View all feedback.
What Sean Strickland doesn't like about Chando's Cantina:
Good food. However, the nachos portion is ridiculous. paying 18 (including tip and extra meat +3)for what you would consider a half order at any other Mexican restaurant is unacceptable. Will not be going back again. View all feedback.

Won 't be going back. The place has an overall grunge to it, just smells dirty from the get go. Dark, uninviting, awkward layout, bar stools are miserable, chips tasted old and bad like they were cooked in old/dirty oil, salsa tasted ok but was wayyy too spicy. Fish tacos were straight up disgusting, soppy covered in a ridiculously hot mayo chili spread Chando 's sauce or whatever it is. Just gross, and they were very strong fishy smelling even for Tilapia. Taco bowl was ok, 6/10 if I 'm being generous. I do have to say the carna asada had a great flavor and was very tender, but that didn 't make up for the fact that the Sangria was meh, margarita was meh, service was friendly and something upset both of us that evening/next day. So, nope.
I Came into this location to get lunch and it was not exceptionally busy. I Stood at the front counter waiting for someone to come out for almost 10 minutes. Nobody ever acknowledged I was there or came out to help me.The only employee I saw was out chit-chatting and flirting with three women on the patio ignoring customers coming in.I ended up just walking out and going somewhere else to eat without anyone ever acknowledging I was in the restaurant for over 10 minutes. Very poor and disappointing experience and a big waste of time.
The service was excellent! The food was okay. They don't have blended margaritas, and they charge $12.00 for a small glass of wine on a Tuesday evening. The margaritas on the rocks were $10.00. What Mexican restaurant doesn't have a blender and charges more for a glass of wine than a margarita?
Went in for a nice dinner and they couldn't even be given a menu to look at, we were expected to use our phones to look at the menu. We have gone here a few times (although I think it was a different Mexican place when we went last) but after reading the other reviews on this place and the fact that they can't even give us a menu we will never be back. I work in IT and this has to be the stupidest decision any restaurant can make. You know how many older people can't use their phone or don't own a smart phone, now they can't eat there.
