Went and ate last night at Taco John's in El Dorado! It was amazing! They did such a great job and were very patient with us, since six of us were ordered, all with special wishes! I'll eat there soon! And the Mexican donut bites were DELICIOUS! View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Taco John's:
This restaurant is no longer Taco John's and has been rebranded to Taco Tico. I visited during their soft opening and had a mixed experience. The main issue seemed to be the lack of training for the cashier. The food was underwhelming, although reasonably priced. Despite some shortcomings, the place had a steady flow of customers, which suggests they’re doing something well. View all feedback.
I'm a big fan of Taco John's, and it's always been a special treat for me. I was really excited to try the one in El Dorado. However, after three visits, I must say I'm quite disappointed. It's unlikely that I will return to this location. I made all my visits over a month after it opened, which should have given them enough time to establish a decent level of service. I rarely say this, but I do not recommend this place.
I noticed some negative reviews about this restaurant because it wasn't open before. However, it just opened two days ago! This place is truly beautiful; it's a brand new building, so everything is clean and nicely designed. Right now, the lines are a bit long, but that's expected with a new establishment as they are obviously training their staff. On the bright side, this is the only place around where you can get delicious potatoes and their fantastic specialty oils! Most of the other items on the menu are pretty good too. I came from Colorado, where Taco John's is a popular spot in many cities, so I was thrilled to see one open here. It's great to have another fast food option in the area! Honestly, some people gave it one star just because it wasn't open when they checked. The building went up so quickly that I even had to ask someone if it had always been there! I was genuinely impressed by how fast they built it.

I want to commend the staff for their incredible patience when I made a mistake with my order. They even read it back to me, and I still managed to get it wrong. The customer service is outstanding! The food was served hot and fresh, and there were plenty of chips. The kids' meal portions are generous enough to satisfy even a big kid. Thank you so much to the crew at Sunday's!
I was an employee at the restaurant, and after experiencing a death in my family, I called in to inform them. The very next day I returned to work, I was fired. What a lack of compassion for their staff.
