Fayray's
Description
Fayray's in El Dorado offers a mix of experiences that leave diners divided. While some praise its inviting atmosphere, friendly staff, and standout dishes like the ribeye and shrimp 'n grits, others express disappointment over high prices and inconsistent food quality. Complaints include lackluster service and an absence of a children’s menu. Despite its ambition to provide fine dining, some feel it doesn't deliver value commensurate with its costs. This is a great place to eat. Unique food prepared on site. Absolutely the best steaks I've ever eaten.
I had the roasted red pepper soup and the Shrimp'n grits. Both tastes amazing. The Grits were the base for a large number of perfectly seasoned shrimp and topped with a huge serving of sausage etouffee. One of if not the best rendition of SNG I have tasted (including in NOLA) in my travels. The amosphere has a speakeasy feel to it--old building, tin ceiling, ceiling fans, white table clothes, great artwork, and 20s jazz playing softly in the background! Love eating local!
This restaurant is consistently wonderful, offering fantastic food every time. The ambiance is ideal for business meetings or a romantic dinner.
