Destino Sur De Montaña, - El Chaltén

Chalten being a small city, the location is not so important, although it could be said that it is further from the Center and 200 meters from the beginning of the trails. The hotel is really very nice and modern, it is made with wood and stones that give it warmth. The breakfast is good but not super varied and abundant as a hotel of this category should be. The rooms are very spacious and comfortable. They have an electric kettle and they put coffee capsules and tea bags. It is very hot in the room but it is solved by opening the window. The wet sauna and the dry sauna are very good. There are bicycles at the entrance that can be used, they give you 2 hours. Criticisms: one day and night the power went out and the emergency lamp in the room did not work so we were left in the dark. In the photos you can see that the mini Gym is made up of a treadmill and a bicycle, but that is not the case, it only has a treadmill which was BROKEN and no weights or mats. In short, it doesn't have a gym and they promote it as if it does. The pool is VERY small, it has no depth or length, it is not suitable for swimming, only as a jacuzzi since it has connectors for that purpose. I went one day and it was empty, so I was able to enjoy it even though it wasn't good for swimming, then it was the next day and there were more than 10 people and all together, it was impossible to take advantage of it.

It's the best thing about the chalten, I prioritized the Spa and it's pretty loose, it barely fulfills. Out of that is a very good hotel, I put 4 stars because it is expensive for what it is but out of that very well. In full breakfast, the room barely meets what it costs, restaurant very good and cheap for what it is (or at least not expensive). The view does not stand out or rest, the location is ok, just before the popular walks, at the tip of the village
