H&j's - El Cerrito

We decided to try it when it reopens. this is our new favorite breakfast place. good food, the waffeln are so soft and only the right Krach-Great taste. my favorite plate is the classic! beer over hard, bean, speck and freshly brewed coffee. the south-western beans have such a tasteful taste. there are always bromberry or strawberry jam on the tables for this sweet tooth. many natural light, service is great.

Went here a day ago with my boyfriend and we couldn't stop talking about how fresh and delicious the food was. The biscuits were so lovely. Waitress was very attentive and filled up our coffee 3x. Would come back here for sure!

H&J is a somewhat non-descript looking restaurant on a non-descript section of San Pablo in El Cerrito. Don't be fooled! The food is amazing. I've been there twice, getting the eggplant omelette (which I think came with potatoes) the 1st time, and an order of potatoes w/2 biscuits the 2nd time. The food is delicious, the portions are huge, and the prices are EXTREMELY reasonable. I wasn't hugely hungry the 2nd time, so I thought an order of potatoes w/ a biscuit would hold me. It was twice the size expected ..... for under $10!! I ordered an extra biscuit bc they are SO GOOD.
