I wanted some of their Lobster Bisque but unfortunately they were out. : My friend has numerous dietary restrictions but had no problem finding something on the menu. Food was tasty and actually superior to the famous place in the Valle we later dined at. Margaritas are great here as well.

We were immediately greeted by a very fríendly and funny car valet who led us into the restaurant and seated us where we indicated outside . From then on we not only had a very attentive server but we also noticed how many other workers were busily cleaning, arranging, and setting up for an expected busy Friday and weekend crowd. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming. Splash has a lovely outside set-up with a large bar and 3 levels of ocean view tables, most covered. We both had a drink first accompanied by the chips and salsa. The chips were ok but the salsa was basically a very bland bowl of tomato sauce. My husband ordered shrimp ceviche with tostadas and we each ordered the Splash combination plates and we enjoyed the steak, relleno, guacamole and beans, but the enchilada was in a heavy bland red sauce. I also asked for a spicy salsa instead of the bland tomato one and what the server brought was much better. The ambience was friendly, clean, and inviting and we will most definitely return. A very pleasant way to spend a beautiful couple of hours!

Unfortunately, I have been to Splash too many times just to appease my fellow expat friends. However, this will be my last time and this is why... The food is not authentic Mexican AT ALL.. its extremely bland and uneventful. The restaurant itself is OLD and extremely DIRTY. It's in dire need of a complete remodel! And, you'll find yourselves dining on filthy tables with flies swarming your lackluster meal. I truly can not stand this restaurant. There are FAR better places to go to on the oceanfront with he same view that offer EXCELLENT cuisine and atmosphere.
