What User doesn't like about Restaurant Hotel Hasenjager:
Wir haben während unseres Kurzurlaubes zweimal im Restaurant Hasenjäger zu Abend gegessen. Das Essen war sehr gut (wenn auch zum Teil nicht gerade günstig) und das Personal war sehr freundlich. Leider spielte das Wetter nicht mit, so konnten wir die einladende Terrasse nicht nutzen. Im Restaurant fanden wir es aber sehr gemütlich in urigem Stil. View all feedback.
At the end of December we visited the hate hunter for a Christmas dinner. we had booked a table in advance, indicating that we needed space for 7 adults and a high chair. when we arrived, we sat in a corner that was almost completely surrounded by benches, so there was no place for the high chair, except where the whole food was served, which means that hot teller would have been raised above his head. even if we wanted to sit here, the included seat had no belts and would therefore have been very risky. so our nine-month old baby of lap had to be laped for the duration of our meal, which was very uncomfortable for us to eat, and also with so many dangerous objects in lightly rich from the table. the food was good. we had a Christmas goose for four and three a la carte meals. the geese itself was juicy and very well cooked. it was served with knödeln (good), gravy (very nice), a baked apple (that was best lukewarm) and red cabbage. the red cabbage was the saltiest I ever served almost unusable. the other main courses were good what I could say. we couldn't stay for dessert. we waited over an hour for the main course and the baby was too tired/ bored. all in all they will like the hate hunter if they are in the 1980s fake Austrian decoration, very patient and not too vain about modern comforts. eating is solid and traditional, without being excellent. the service is good enough if you can ignore the inconvenient setup. we would probably not return with a baby!
Eating is always delicious. a bit expensive, but it's worth it.
We visited the Hasenjäger for a Christmassy family meal in late December. We'd booked a table considerably in advance, specifying that we needed space for adults and a high chair. When we arrived, we were seated in a corner booth that was almost completely...enclosed by benches so that there was no space for the high chair other than the spot from where all the food was served, meaning hot plates would have been lifted over his head. Even if we'd have chosen to seat him here, the seat supplied had no straps and would therefore have been very risky to use. So our nine-month old baby had to move from lap to lap for the duration of our meal, which was hugely inconvenient for us trying to eat, and also with so many dangerous items within easy reach from the table. The food was fine. We had a Christmas Goose for four and three a la carte meals. The goose itself was succulent and very well cooked. It was served with dumplings (good), gravy (very nice), a baked apple (which was at best lukewarm) and red cabbage. The red cabbage was the saltiest I've ever been served almost inedible. The other main courses were good as far as I could tell. We were not able to stay for dessert. We'd waited for over an hour for the main course and the baby was getting too tired/ bored. All in all, you'll like the Hasenjäger if you are into fake Austrian decor, very patient and not too fussed about modern conveniences. The food is solid and traditional without being outstanding. The service is good enough if you can ignore the inconvenient setup. We probably wouldn't return with a baby though
Food is always delicious. A tad bit pricey, but worth it
